May 3, 2005 – Paramount Bank announced Cynthia Sargent of Warren, MI as the Grand Prize winner of “The Magic Money Makeover” contest on Magic 105.1. Beginning April 4, 2005 through May 1, 2005, Magic 105.1 FM listeners had the opportunity to enter to win 12 consecutive months of mortgage payments up to $1,250 (principal and interest) and a “Magic Money Makeover” with the Debt Free Diva, Dee Dee Sung. Based on the entrant’s financial situations and personal stories, a panel of judges selected twelve finalists for “The Magic Money Makeover.” Dee Dee Sung, the Debt Free Diva, selected the Grand Prize winner by random drawing, live on the Jim Harper & the Magic Morning Show. Paramount Bank is pleased to award Cynthia Sargent with the grand prize of 12 consecutive months of mortgage payments, reinforcing Paramount Bank’s commitment to supporting the community and consumers’ financial health.
Cynthia Sargent was one of over 725 listeners who entered “The Magic Money Makeover” contest and shared their stories of why they believed they should be debt free. After struggling financially for 14 years as a widow on a single income, Ms. Sargent dreamed of being mortgage free for one year so she could pay off her other bills. Jeffery Sugg, President and CEO of Paramount Bank and Chris Blain, Executive Vice President of Mortgages, have allowed this dream to come true, as they generously agreed for Paramount Bank to sponsor “The Magic Money Makeover” grand prize.

Of the 725 entrants, twelve finalists were selected for the grand prize drawing and will receive complimentary consultations with the Debt Free Diva, an Estate Planner, and a Financial Planner, a signed copy of “The Debt Free Diva – From Self Worth to Net Worth” by Dee Dee Sung and a complimentary mortgage review by Paramount Bank.
